Copies of court records cost $1.00 for the first page and $0.50 for each page after that. Certified copies add $0.50 per document. An authentication certificate runs $7.00 per document. You can pay by check, money order, or credit card in person. Mail requests should go to Cleveland County Court Clerk, 200 S. Peters Ave., Norman, OK 73069. Processing takes about 10 business days once they get your payment. Documents marked as available on the docket can sometimes be emailed free of charge, but certified copies must be picked up in person or sent by mail. The court clerk does not release court transcripts. Those come from the court reporter.

Norman Police Department Records
The Norman Police Department Records Section is the place to get arrest reports, incident reports, and local criminal history checks. The office is at 112 W. Daws Street, Norman, OK. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The office is closed on Sundays and holidays.
You can submit requests online, by mail, email, fax, or in person. Most requests get processed within 48 hours once payment goes through. Video and audio requests take longer due to redaction work. A Norman Police Department records check costs $5 per name. If you are the person named in the record, there is no charge. Military recruiter checks are also free. Copies for uninvolved parties cost $0.25 per page in person or $3 per report by mail, email, or fax. Involved parties get copies at no cost.

Arraignment details are given at the time of citation or by court notice. Municipal court records cover a range of cases from traffic stops to city code violations. These records are separate from what the Cleveland County District Court handles, so you may need to check both systems if you are doing a full Norman criminal history search.
Search Norman Criminal History Online
The Oklahoma State Courts Network lets you search Cleveland County District Court dockets for free. Select "Cleveland" from the county dropdown and search by party name, case number, or date range. You can add a sex offender registry search for $2 and a violent offender search for $2. Results come back fast for most searches. Under Title 74 O.S. Section 150.9, the OSBI maintains the central state repository for criminal history records.
Cleveland County Sheriff Records
The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office Records Division is at 111 N. Peters Ave., Suite 600, Norman, OK 73069. The main line is (405) 701-8888 and the records office is at (405) 701-8800. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The sheriff's office handles police reports, collision records, citations, and background checks. You need a valid photo ID for in-person requests.
The sheriff's office also runs an inmate lookup for the Cleveland County Detention Center. The Oklahoma Sex Offender Registry lets you search by name, address, or map for registered offenders in the Norman area. Under Title 57, Sections 581 through 590.2, sex offenders must register within three days of entering Oklahoma or upon release from custody. The OK Offender Lookup tool from the Department of Corrections shows custody status and charge details for anyone under state supervision.
Norman Criminal History and OU Campus
The University of Oklahoma Police Department handles incidents on campus property. OUPD is at 2775 Monitor Ave, Norman, OK 73072. Under the Oklahoma Open Records Act, Title 51 O.S. Section 24A.1, most police records from both the city and university departments are open to the public. Active investigations may be exempt.
