The court clerk maintains records on all criminal cases, civil suits, traffic violations, family court matters, and probate. The County Clerk's office is at a different location: 201 N. Choctaw Avenue, El Reno, OK 73036, at (405) 262-1070. The County Clerk handles land records and document recording, while the Court Clerk handles court files.
Canadian County is part of Judicial District 4 along with Blaine and Kingfisher counties. With a population over 148,000, Canadian County processes a high volume of criminal cases compared to most Oklahoma counties.
